USD 10.2 Million Solar Power Plant Investment from QUA

In line with its sustainability goals, QUA continues to expand its renewable energy investments without slowing down. The Solar Power Plant (SPP) project, planned to be completed in 2025 at QUA’s factory in Aydın Söke with an initial investment of USD 10.2 million, aims to generate electricity with a capacity of 20.4 MWp annually.

Continuing its investments in renewable energy resources as part of its sustainability strategy, QUA will meet a portion of its energy needs from renewable sources through the SPP project to be implemented in collaboration with T2D Renewable Energy Systems Industry and Trade Inc. The project aims to reduce the company’s carbon footprint while contributing to the protection of a sustainable environment.

Recognizing the fight against climate change, economic and social development, and environmental sustainability as core responsibilities, QUA continues its investments in sustainable energy solutions through the 20.4 MWp Solar Power Plant project to be installed on the 150,000 m² rooftop of its Aydın Söke factory. Initiated with an investment of USD 10.2 million and scheduled for completion within 2025, the SPP project will stand as a concrete reflection of QUA’s sustainable energy vision.

Commenting on the project, QUA General Manager Ali Küçük stated:

“As QUA, we regard environmental, social, and economic sustainability not merely as a strategy but as a fundamental value. By placing the Sustainable Development Goals at the center of our approach, we shape not only our business processes but also our responsibility toward the future through our practices across production, employment, and human resources. In this context, we are advancing decisively on our sustainability journey with clearly defined targets focused on reducing our carbon footprint, improving energy efficiency, and strengthening waste management practices. Our renewable energy investments constitute an essential part of this process. The 20.4 MWp SPP project that we will implement at our Aydın Söke factory will not only meet our energy needs but will also contribute to a greener future by reducing our environmental impact. As QUA, we will continue to lead our industry through sustainable production processes and strategies aimed at minimizing environmental impact.”

With QUA’s new SPP project, it is targeted to generate 20.4 MWp of electricity annually using 35,478 next-generation Topcon N-type solar panels. Through this investment, the equivalent of preventing the cutting of 365,200 trees will be achieved, while carbon emissions are expected to be reduced by approximately 140,000 tons.
